99. For Christians, this involves a constant and healthy unease. Even if helping one person alone could justify all our efforts, it would not be enough. The bishops of Canada made this clear when they noted, for example, that the biblical understanding of the jubilee year was about more than simply performing certain good works. It also meant seeking social change: “For later generations to also be released, clearly the goal had to be the restoration of just social and economic systems, so there could no longer be exclusion”.

Fish Fry This Friday
The Knights of Columbus will be hosting weekly Friday Night Fish Frys in the St. Ben's Cafeteria during Lent. Dinner is served from 5 PM to 7 PM. There is a drive thru on Harlan Avenue for those wishing to pick up meals.

People of Prayer Series: Centering Prayer
The next installment of our People in Prayer Series will be March 20th after the Soup Supper. This event will be offered by Mary Jo Bennett and will take place in the church.
The renovation of our Cathedral has begun. The pews have been removed. During the renovation, the parish will be using chairs. In accordance with the law of the Church and after consultation with Bishop Siegel, we will not be kneeling during Mass until the new pews and kneelers have been installed.
